The UCF Young Adults National College Scholarship Program 2010

In US, more than 70,000 young adults, falling prey to various types of life threatening cancers. The name itself brings shivers down our spine but some have braved through their way. The ULMAN Cancer Fund works tirelessly to support, educate and empower young adult cancer survivors.

The UCF Young Adults wants to make the post treatment life of the youngsters meaningful. Cancer survivors seeking higher education will be supported financially by The Ulman Cancer Fund For Young Adults National College Scholarship Program.

The awards will be granted through five different scholarship categories, applicant is allowed to apply for just one category.
The Matt Stauffer Memorial Scholarship Award
The Marilyn Yetso Memorial Scholarship Award
The Barbara Palo Foster Memorial Scholarship Award
The Vera Yip Memorial Scholarship Award
The Maryland Community Cancer Scholarship (Maryland Residents only)

You are the right candidate if you fulfill the following conditions:

  • Diagnosed with cancer, or their loved ones were diagnosed
  • Must be 15 when diagnosed or their loved ones diagnosed
  • Financial need
  • Medical hardship
  • Devotion towards community
  • Commitment to wards Educational and professional goals
  • Demonstration of how the applicant has used their experience to impact the lives of other young adults affected by Cancer.

The application must be postmarked no later than May 1, 2010. Awards will be given in the amount of $2,500and the name of the recipients will be announced on June 1, 2010.
